Working Across East Anglian
We support projects throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, with an understanding of the historic character and planning context of the region’s towns, villages and landscapes.
Selected Project Experiences
EAH prepared the Heritage Impact Assessment for a planning appeal at Northwold, Norfolk. Detailed analysis of historic earthworks and landscape character demonstrated that the proposed equine use would safeguard surviving archaeological features while causing no harm to designated heritage assets.

East Anglian Heritage prepared a Heritage Impact Assessment for proposals affecting a historic building on Lower Brook Street, Ipswich. The assessment examined the significance of the asset and its setting within the historic townscape, providing clear planning-focused heritage advice to support the proposed changes.

East Anglian Heritage produced a HIA for the expansion of a Specialist Care Facility, noting pre-application reservations and also outlining the public benefits in a quantifiable way why the public benefits outweighed the harm to the listed building.
Which has led to the successful granting of the planning application for an expansion of the services this care facility can offer to its service users.

East Anglian Heritage produced a WSI (Written Scheme of Investigation) and undertook the follow up HBR (Historic Building Recording survey) of a number of buildings associated with sail making at West Mersea.
This form part of the pre-application work which has lead to the successful granting of the proposed planning application

East Anglian Heritage on behalf of the client as part of applying on their behalf for a SMC Application, undertook the formulation of the supporting evidence and negotiations with Historic England to develop a suitable mitigation strategy with regards to the potential heritage matters to hand.
This led to the successful granting of the SMC for the clients works with limited conditions and a quick turnaround.
